Seems some Tx Giant riders got some exercise going down the steps from the lift tower yesterday.

Breaking news...This just in...
A car broke down on the side of the freeway coming in to work this morning. At 7:47 a.m., passengers had to be evacuated off the 610 South freeway via a tow truck, to a safe location. Mechanical glitch was to blame for the breakdown.

Metro spokesmans said "While the car was inspected just months ago, unforeseen mechanical failure was to blame for the accident."

Mary Bailey, the driver and mother of 2 passengers said " It's very alarming to have a breakdown of this nature and wonders what's going on with the car manufactures. I was driving 65 miles an hour, then all of the sudden the car made funny noises and I had to pull over and evacuate the vehicle. Thank god we all made it out of the car safe."

Pending investigation is open.
Toyota was contacted and had no comments about the breakdown.

No disrepect meant to the poster.
These "NEWS" reports just amuse me.

Actually, in a way it is quite a complement that a coaster breakdown is big news. It means that the public expectation is that coasters are extremely reliable...

Hmmm. I never thought about it that way. Though really, heh..this kinda proves they're not..

I think this all had to do with the fatality on Ride of Steel on Friday. Just like the fan who *almost* fell out of the stands at the All-Star Game: would have never known about it were it not for the fan fatality at our ballpark a week earlier after he fell out of the stands.
