Some Real Estate firm in the Woodlands faked an article about a deal being signed to build a Disney park in the Woodlands. It was later revealed to be an April Fools Day joke.

So if you see rumors anywhere about this just ignore them. Don't repost them as they are not true.

Thanks to everyone who played along with, commented, linked and retweeted this little April Fools joke about Disney bringing a new theme park to The Woodlands.

I wish the rumor were true. My family dearly loves living in The Woodlands and we would love to have a Disney property close to home.

We have been quite surprised by the response to this article. So far the article has received more than 5,300 hits and has been the subject of discussions on many forums across the internet. If you feel we gave you a chuckle, we are glad. If you feel we wasted your time, we are sorry.

This has been a good reminder to of how quickly information can spread on the internet, whether it is true or not. It is a good practice to check it out before you share it.

Probably the DUMBEST April Fools joke ever....

Last night I saw that Disney was going to have some cruises out of Galveston. Exciting stuff! The "Magic" will be sailing from Galveston.
