| Well, it started taking its first riders this week, and as we speak, 102 folks who were accepted to join a commercial shoot are now taking THEIR first rides on it. I was able to get the day off..but it would have counted as a sick day so, I had to pass on the opportunity. |

Slower during the week and around sunset, yes. First thing park opening is slow too, but it picks up quickly. |

| The NEW Texas Giant is open... well, officially tomorrow. Some fortunate folks got to ride it today for Media Day. All I can say is, it is an awesome coaster. The first thing I noticed was how quiet the New Texas Giant is. You can hardly hear it going up the lift hill. Then there is the steep first drop and the banked turns that help the coaster maintain its speed with lots of air time. Near the end of the ride are three tunnels with surprises inside. This coaster is definitely a winner. |

After 31 rides I can say this:
Best. Backseat. First drop. Ever.
Yes, even better than Expedition GeForce. I have a new #1 steelie. _________________ Rides on the Bullet so far: 728 |

From a perpetual front seat rider (unless it's a Vekoma Boomerang), I contend: best backseat ride ever. The front was okay, but the closer to the back I got, the ride experience escalated.
Smoothest coaster ever, too. Nothing I've ridden comes close.
And I am still hard-pressed to figure out how the ride in the last row, differs so greatly from the second-to-last row. These rows are 2 feet apart, and nothing alike. It's truly bizarre. |

Just rode it yesterday. Best seat is definitely the back. Back row right seat. Great ejector seat airtime there. This delivers tons of airtime. The seats are roomy and comfortable. The ride is as smooth as glass and runs almost silent. Kind of eerie. The line were really long and took about 80 minutes with a three train operation. The trains were stacked in the station quite often. Sometimes I even saw all three in the station. I guess the crew hadn't got their rhythm down to dispatch trains quickly yet. There are new signs stating that you should not carry any items on board, even items in you pockets. They haven't enforced the items in pocket rule yet. _________________ John Y. Chen
