Did that today. Best thing I can say was it was free. I was very disappointed in the entire attraction. 2 hour wait, for a tour of three rail cars that are so full of people that you really can't see anything.
The promised 3-D theater that was going to show a clip of the movie was no where to be found. (And that is what I really wanted to see)
It was free. It was lacking any Disney Magic. Not worth the drive, paying for parking, taking a PTO day so I could take my niece.
I wish I could say something nice about this but I really can't think of anything. It was free and I got what I paid for. That's about it.
And I won't be spending a dime on the movie now. |

Well, I was disapointed I didn't get to go, but I don't feel so bad now after hearing the reports.
I also think it stinks that Houston got it during the week, but San Antonio got it for the weekend. They are always getting better things than us.
I saw it on the news and it looked cool there. _________________ When one door closes, another always opens, even though, it can be hell in the hallway. |

Also the other cities had more than one day for their stops. We got there about 9:30AM and the place was already packed.
Seeing some of Charles Dickens manuscripts was cool but everything else? Just a waste of time. While we waited they were letting in groups of about 40 at a time. Right when we got to the entrance they started cramming people in like sardines. The First car had some old clothing and manuscripts along with some flat screens showing animations of Dickens London. Then came the touch screens that were interactive to a point, but difficult to see because of all the people they were cramming in. After that they were showing the the process of doing the live capture of the cast. The last car was taken up by the "Morph yourself" into a character but it really did not do much. All the morphs looked alike. Then there was the exit that smelled of cinnamon and had a Christmas Tree with some Hi Def Tv's behind it showing a winter scene. Then you walked out and that was it.
No 3-D theater. That was supposed to be part of the experience. I am guessing that they did not want to deal with it for a one day stop. When I asked, they said there was not room!!!!! What a joke. Considering all the homeless people they had to evict from the area (But left the trash) there was plenty of room. I think they just said "Screw Houston"
In line there were 2 Hi Def TV's that showed something but it was too hard to hear much and there were two little towers that made "Snow" the same kind they use at Disney for Christmas, the soap like substance. It spat snow very intermittently and after seeing how they can do it at the parks, this was just pathetic.
I just expect more from the Disney Brand. I expect to be "Wow isn't that cool" kind of feeling. If you missed it, you did not miss anything.
Now I am just going to wait for Cameron's Avatar to see how good 3-D is going to be. |

| Kenny has some pics on Facebook. My camera decided that it wanted to shoot at its own settings (Caused a real problem with focus) and I have very few pictures that look decent. |
