| Quote: | | NEW ORLEANS — The roller coasters are quiet and the Ferris wheel is frozen in midspin. Six Flags New Orleans, once teeming with shrieking tourists, sits empty and overgrown with weeds in the eastern part of the city — a hulking, rusting reminder of the devastation unleashed by Hurricane Katrina nearly four years ago. |

says Joel Waltzer, . "Passing by every day and looking at a dormant family park is tough to stomach."
Try looking at an empty field for three years! |

Which is worse? Passing a dormat park, or a grass field? _________________ If Astroworld can't make you happy, you can't get happy! |

Six of one, half a dozen of the other when you know that the dormant park has been damaged beyond any reasonable hope of rebuilding. Where the stinger kicks in, though, is that SFNO was a financial sinkhole eventually destroyed by a natural disaster beyond anyone's control. Astroworld was a thriving and successful park that was sacrificed on the altar of short-term profit and loss by horrendous management. _________________ --------Eric H. Bowen
