looks more open....... seemed fast too.
Take the bullets sharp turns and head choppers and have a train that makes you feel like there is nothing holding you in and you got a winner!

| I have to wonder how many cycles that little car took before it made it all the way around, or if they ever cycled it as a train. |

I'd bet it made it around the first try. As far as a full train, my understanding is that what you see there is all they have built so far. I can only imagine how much faster it would go with the extra weight of the other cars and people in it. These trains MUST be put on The Bullet!

| I understand that more cars would have made them ride faster, but they had a TON of weight in those 4 cars...so it had to be running about the equivalent of a couple more cars. Still, they look really impressive, and I hope Kemah gives them some consideration. Those would definitely help out the Bullet when it comes to tracking and maintenance. |

IMHO, considering the Bullet's "track record" (pardon the pun), Kemah would be foolish NOT to put those trains on. If they truly reduce wear and tear and cut down on maintenance headaches, they should recoup their cost pretty quickly.
When the Bullet is down for rehab, they are not only losing money from lost ticket sales at the time, but also future revenue from folks who say "every time I go down there, it's closed. I don't trust it." or "I'm not driving all the way down there just to be disappointed that I can't ride. I'll go somewhere else." _________________ Rides on the Bullet so far: 728 |

It would also provide consistent speeds which would allow the train to move faster through the brakes (I know others have debated this issue, but I know when it runs 64 or less seconds it gets through the breaks much quicker, the day the Bullet re-opened it was doing this without full trains even). They would have shorter lines and faster load time making high throughput.
I'm sure Tim Anderson is talking to the power that be about the possibilities of these trains. There are just too many reasons for them not to be thinking about it.
Just the idea of riding these trains, and how open they are, would make the Bullet ride experience |
