I have a couple of questions about the season parking pass:

1. How much are they running right now?
2. If I pay for parking on the way in, can I apply the fee toward the season parking pass?

I'm going tomorrow and won't have time to call in the morning. I also didn't find the answer on the website.

Got answers to my questions today - $45 and you can apply your paid parking toward the cost.

Made it out around 11:15. Parked pretty close and made it through the turnstiles quick since the crowd had thinned out about 45 minutes after opening. I noticed that there were a lot of buses in the lot, so I was afraid I had picked a bad day. I started my trip around the park by taking the counterclockwise approach.

Got a middle row ride on Rockin' Rocket. I love the looping starships. It wasn't as painful as I remember it being when I rode one at AW years ago, but I've probably put on 40 lbs. since then and I probably just fit more snugly in the restraint than I did back then. The employees were friendly, if maybe not exactly in any hurry to load the ride. (This was a theme that would carry on throughout the day.)

Walked by Tony Hawk and decided to come back later when I saw a pretty full queue. Took near walk-on rides on JRS, Chute Out, and Flashback. The Chute Out attendants waited until a kid that was obviously not tall enough to ride was seated on the chair before deciding to check his height. They didn't even have a measuring stick at the pad that was operating. I thought they could have been just a tad more proactive. Mom and kid were both pretty unhappy. Flashback delivered a remarkably smooth ride. It was a little sad seeing Bumper Cars boarded up and abandoned.

Went into the Freeze queue and quickly left when I saw that the line was all the way down on the bottom level. This was my second straight trip where it appeared that they were only running one train. Waited about 20 minutes for a 2nd row ride on Batman. I noticed on my way in that a locker attendant was working his way through the flower bed out front and fishing out backpacks that people had stashed in the bushes. I wonder how they're handling that? I didn't experience any delays because of loose articles here, but, again, the crew was less than in a hurry to load. One of the attendants stopped checking restraints halfway through the train to go talk to the panel operator. Someone else went back to recheck everything, but I've always thought that doesn't exactly give a lasting impression of safe operation.

Took a walk-on ride on Mine Train. Looks like they're either using different trains or that they've removed the panel behind each seat. I had a huge amount of leg room in the middle row of a car compared to what I remember. Waited about 2 minutes in the single rider line at S:TOP. I wish they would find a way to incorporate single rider lines in more of the existing rides. I bypassed Shockwave upon learning that it was closed for some sort of technical problem.

Waited about 5 minutes for a middle row ride on Titan. They were only running 2 trains, but the crew was moving quickly. I didn't see the trains stack the whole time I was at the ride. It looked as if the 2 attendants in the queue that were supposed to be watching for loose articles were doing a less than stellar job. A guy in front of me made it past the person at the entry and was told by the person at the Q-bot entry to take his backpack to the lockers. He stepped to the side, noticed that she had turned her back, and then continued on to the loading dock with his bag in tow. I also noticed a group passing backpacks across the dock to people riding in the previous train. I thought I had read that this was a "no no", but it looked like it was happening today.

I had covered a lot of ground in less than 2 hours, so I decided to head back to the front gate to process my pass and pick up a parking pass. This was pretty quick and painless, so I celebrated by treating myself to a $2 pink thing (2 dollars??? You can buy something to eat at a theme park for 2 dollars??? Shocking!)

I made my way back to Tony Hawk and, despite the line still looking long, I decided to take a spin. (Pun intended.) This thing is a line eater. The signs in the queue indicated an hour wait, but I was off the ride 25 minutes later. The only time I stopped moving for longer than a minute was when I was waiting on the ride dock. The ride itself is a blast. Nonstop action, but mild enough that the little kiddies should enjoy it. This was a great and much needed addition. They do need to look at how they identify the single rider line. I didn't notice until I was done riding.

I made my way around for another short wait for S:TOP and walk-on ride on Shockwave. I didn't see any noticeable difference from the track work that was done in the off season. It was smooth and fast as usual.

By this time, it was getting pretty hot and I was tiring out. I was in dire need of a glass of water, but I couldn't find a stand open that didn't have 10+ people in line. I decided to call it a day and made my way home.

It was a pretty good visit. Similar to my visit in August, the park looked pretty good and the employees I ran across were friendly. Efficiency could use just a bit of work, but since it wasn't terribly busy, it wasn't that noticeable.
