| It is a really fun, scary ride. I really liked it back when it first opened, before they modified it. The drop was so scary. I can't wait til the summer to go to Fiesta Texas |

Unforunately, the Rattler was poorly designed due to the parks desire to have the tallest and fasted wooden coaster when it opened. They found out about the building of Mean Streak at Cedar Point and made changes to the already designed Rattler to make it bigger and faster than Mean Streak. Unfortunately they didn't do much testing with the design changes and when it opened it ended up causing a ton of injuries. While I understand a lot of people loved the original ride and wished they never changed it....It's very undestandable why they did so. It was indeed causing major injuries to riders and there are still legal issues surrounding the ride today.
As it stands today, I enjoy it before and after the helix. _________________ Jason |

From what I understand...they can't. The addition and requirement for that brake was set by the courts as the result of some of the lawsuits. _________________ Jason |

I completely agree. That helix is damaging! Why is it that I always forget to ride the front seat of the train? _________________ If Houston were a dog, she'd be a mutt with 3 legs, one bad eye, fleas the size of corn nuts, and buck teeth. Despite all that, she'd be the best dog you'll ever know."

Oh, yeah. I forgot. That beast gave my season pass to AstroWorld a really big, very permanent dent! It was in my pocket, and somewhere along the ride, Rattler decided to dent my pass! _________________ If Houston were a dog, she'd be a mutt with 3 legs, one bad eye, fleas the size of corn nuts, and buck teeth. | The helix hurts! Even though I like the rest of the ride, I don't like the bruises. |

Two years ago I was on the last train out as a thunderstorm was rolling in, and I swear the MCBR barely touched us. I suppose I could've just been imagining it, but I swear I had airtime in the front car coming off the backside of it towards the tunnel.
That tunnel is worth the ride alone. I'm still not positive exactly what happens in there, and that blast of rock-cooled air is lovely on a hot summer day. |

Shoulda rode it back in October. A brief reprieve from bracing yourself included a very dark night-ride thru there with black lights and fog in the tunnel in honor of Fright Fest. I rode the ride one more time just for that. Seeeew Keeewwl. |

I though the brake was installed to run 3 trains. It was put in by Six Flags when they took over and I know the construction really changed an ACE Spring Conferance one year back in the early 90's.
Of course if you watch the track as the train does the station fly-by, its easy to understand why that brake is on so hard. |
