The "last" train was a train for KHOU with all ACE members. There were 2 "ACE" trains after that, not sure on exact # of employee trains though...at least 3 or 4.

Last ride was Mayan Mindbender Sad Although, I did meet some girls in line in which one had no parter so offered to be her partner Cool

I ended up walking around with them for a while then ended up with on their number as a souvineir Laughing

But I did get the first ride on Cyclone when the park opened. Sat in the middle, right side.

Last "public" train, -> 4th row from the back with Jason Knutson, last "ACE" train -> 3rd row from the front with Scott Connor.

And then of course, I believe there were 3 or 4 employee trains. But they deserve the true last honor.

Texas Cyclone

Next to last train before employees only

I sat in the back seat of the next to last car of the train on the right side.

Justin from the ECC, Yvonne, Tim, and Tim's friend rode in the last car directly behind us.

The employees were lined up on either side of the steps of the platform chanting ACE over and over again. The station was dimly lit giving it a solemn feeling.Crying or Very sad The ride itself was somehow magical. It was thrilling and sad all at the same time if that makes any sense. I studied the structure more intently than ever before and tried to savor every view. Employees were lined up on either side of the exit as we left for the last time. I wanted to shake hands with every one of them. Thank you all.

Me too. Some of the Cyclone crew I did, because they took the time out to talk to my niece, who was in line with me but wasn't riding. One of them tried to convince her she should ride, but didn't know it was the reserved-seat thing and wasn't counted. I thought that was incredibly special.

Glad you remembered that location...because I sure as heck didn't Smile
So my final, final ride was on that same "ACE" train 4th row back from front, left side, alone.

Texas Cyclone, last row. I was very thankful to get my last ride in the back, which is also my favorite.

The SWAT with both my daughters, 13 and 9, and my dad. The 9 year old, although nervous, was a willing participant. I really had to coax the 13 year old to do it. As we sat down, she started crying and shaking, and got up and walked to exit, came back sat down, and started crying again. The restraints came down, and I thought she was going to muster all the strength she had to get out of that chair! Too late! She spent most of the ride with her eyes closed, and tears were streaming down her face afterwards. She didn't speak to me for about 20 minutes, when she suddenly said "Dad, can we go on the SWAT again". She said she had conquered a fear! Kids are so damn amazing. Unfortunately, we came from Arizona just to be there for the last weekend, and had to get to airport, so that was the last ride. Thanks to Carouselfreak for making it happen for us!

I was lucky enough to ride Diablo Falls as my last ride with my beautiful 4 yr old daughter. That is worth gold to me that we shared our last ride together. Smile

That is exactly where Zach and myself had our final ride. Great minds still think alike.
