All the reminiscing of Astroworld is making me think of a trip to SFOT...then I looked at the ticket prices They have got to be kidding! $49.99 for one day!?!?!
Nicely enough, if you purchase tickets online you can get it for the CHILDREN'S price of $31.00
No wonder they are in debt, your average family of 4 (even at the $31 online purchase price) can't get in the gate for less than $124, not to mention the $15 parking! So actually let's say $139!
(Again taking a 2 adult 2 kid example) At regular price that's $177 (including parking) JUST to get in the gate! For ONE day!
In this economy, not many people are going to be spending that much money on entertainment/recreation.
Maybe I'm just cheap but that seems awfully expensive, then you have to add in food....geesh!
(Sorry just in "sticker shock") |

| Actually, that's the price for an outer market season pass, which IS a bargain. I've already made two trips up to Arlington, not to mention I will be using my season pass at Kentucky Kingdom, Great America, and Great Adventure this summer. In addition, the coupon book is much better this year! |

Compared to simliar venues I think even at 50.00 it is a steal.
Tell me what other entertainment venue allows you a whole day of fun for $50.00?
The only reason $50.00 sounds high is because they did a diservice to their self in previous years discounting the price too low.
IMO of course! |

Six Flags season passes and single day tickets are still pretty cheap compared to other chains. A few examples are below...I didn't look up every park or look at parking prices, but it's pretty easy to see that Six Flags tickets and season passes are still a pretty good deal. I also agree with Markie's comment about the prices seem high because of how much they discounted admission in the past.
A Cedar Fair Platinum Pass which allows all parks and parking at all parks are around $160/ea (and price varies depending which park you buy it at).
Single day tickets range from $38-$50
The Busch pass for all parks (well, most parks) is $200 for 2 years (no 1 year option that I see).
Single day tickets start at $54.99 for Sea World. Busch Gardens Africa (Tampa) it $69.95
Universal (FL) is $149 for the two parks with restricted dates.
The Schlitterbahn Platinum pass (good at the 3 tx parks) is $249.99.
One day tickets are around $40 _________________ Jason |

| The only reason for paying full price for SFOT tickets is laziness or apathy. They are too many avenues for getting discounts. |

The price is not so bad really. Try buying an annual pass to WDW or DLR... heck just buy a 3 day park hopper for WDW and your well over 250$ (But a 10 day hopper is a steal at just 50$ more compared to 250) _________________ When stagnation occurs at WDW, follow DLR into the promise land. Google: Tronorail, Avengerail, Ironmanrail!!!!!

Does Six Flags still have any type of "outer market" discounts on season passes? I know they did at one point. _________________ An Apple a day keeps Windows away
