Heh, Goliath.
Except I can think of 3 or 4 rides bigger at the park..
Confusion will be rampant.
Guest One. "What do you want to ride?"
Guest two "Goliath!"
Guest one "Is that the Big Coaster?"
Guest two: "No Its like Batman"
Guest One "Batman? Like at Astroworld used to have? You stand up?"
Guest Two "No, You sit down like the one at Six Flags Over Texas."
Guest One "I thought that was called Titan. Looks Like Goliath at Magic Mountain!"
Guest Two "No this one looks like Great White over at Sea World."
Guest One "Why didn't you say you wanted to ride Great White?"
Oh my....... |

| I saw this posted on another board and found it interesting: Is Texas now home to the only B:TR clones in the world that don't have the Batman theme? |

I heard somewhere that the name Goliath was considered only because they didn't want to dish money out on the licensing rights to call it anything related to Batman. I can see why, the ride was free. All they paid for was shipping and handling, soon to pay for the construction costs, saving them millions.
But look at other press releases on the site: Chicago, Jersey, and SFNE are all getting new Mack coasters themed for the release of the new Batman movie coming out next year.
I guess that the name is easy to overlook when you think that Fiesta doesn't have a Gotham City area..but that doesn't explain Joker's Revenge.
Couldn't the rides have been arranged better: SFOT got a Mack and the Big Spin gone in at one of those parks getting The Dark Knight coaster? I'm trying to give Shapiro the benefit of the doubt, but how out of touch with your own parks do you have to be?
About the guest confusion: maybe the "mirror image" is the only thing that will keep people from serious confusion. I overheard a guest in line at Mr. Freeze at SFOT say, "I rode this at Fiesta Texas." The only thing they have in common (to the GP view) is the launch, in a tunnel, and I betcha he didn't even know they used the same launching method with the LIMs. |

| I guess it's good that Fiesta's getting an inverted... helps with their variety a bit, and although the B:TR aren't my favorite B&M inverts it's certainly not a bad ride at all. It's not like many people will be going to Fiesta and Sea World in the same day so I doubt many people will realize there's a (nearly) identical coaster a few miles away. |

hmm, it says it's going to be in Los Festivales.
Where would it go though?
Behind Boomerang or maybe the Picnic Area? _________________ - Make the Stage Your Wonderland - |

It will be in the picnic area. The construction fence has already gone up at the front of the park. |
